Ghosts of the Oregon Coast

I will not survive this Oregon heat. I will join the blanketed bodies. I will fall in the Willamette. I will never be seen round here again. I know when it's time to go home by the light of your cigarette. We sizzle and we kiss with our hot lips. We lie awake and just smoulder here. Gotta give these hands another go. Cause I don't wanna be a ghost of the Oregon Coast. Gotta give this man another go. Cause I don't wanna be a ghost of the Oregon Coast. How about I don't die yet. Maybe it don't end in the Willamette.

Scanners 03:17
We got wasted in a haze of yellow lights. The car was idling in the winter night. Your driveway cracked beneath the shoes under our feet. Your parents were asleep, the porch light off. You said they have scanners looking down with their red eyes. Then we’d drive and we’d drive, you and I, until the headlights hit the coastline, and that’s about the point when we got off. We got dusted in a blaze of burning sand. The helicopter blades were what’s to blame. Found ourselves surrounded in a maze of flashing lights. A blue and red divide to guide us back to the boring life...
